Young members of Waltham Forest Ahmadiyya Muslim Association got up at the crack of dawn and took to the streets to hand out hot food and drinks to homeless men and women.

Seven youngsters from the youth group at Bait ul Ahad Mosque in Erskine Road in Walthamstow chatted with rough sleepers at the event on Sunday.

Ahmed Mansoor, assistant to the president of the mosque’s youth group, said: “The food was provided by Humanity First which we are a member of and we cooked it here on Saturday night.
