A week on from a nighttime burglary that saw mask raiders hold up a couple, police have released images of some of the stolen items.

Between 9pm and 9.10pm on January 10, three men forced their way into an address in Boxted Close, Buckhurst Hill.

They threatened two people inside with a handgun before making off two watches, each worth a four-figure sum, an engagement ring and a purse.

One of the victims was also assaulted.

The three men were dressed all in black and had their faces covered.

Detective Inspector Colin Norton, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “A week on from this incident our investigation is progressing well but we still need anyone with any information to come forward.

“The items taken are worth a lot of money and I believe those responsible for this burglary will be trying to sell them.

“I particularly need to speak to anyone who has been offered any of these items for sale.

“These men subjected the victims to a frightening ordeal and it’s really important we find them.

“We have previously issued images of items of jewellery found outside the property shortly after the incident. They don’t belong to the victims and we’re still looking to identify their owners.”
