Police launched a manhunt in Ongar after suspects rammed a police car with a lorry as they made a getaway from a theft.
The stolen articulated truck had been used to ram gates at a business in Temple, Harlow, at around 11.15pm on Thursday (February 6).
Two suspects then stole a skip and drove off.
Police were able to locate the lorry, gave pursuit and signalled for the vehicle to stop without success.
The suspects then rammed a police car that was giving chase, with the officers inside suffered minor injuries, before a stinger was successfully deployed.
Two men decamped from the vehicle in Blake Hall Road, Ongar, at around 11.35pm and following a search of the area using police dogs and our helicopter they were located.
A 23-year-old man from Laindon was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to steal a motor vehicle and a 29-year-old man from Hockley was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified, theft of a motor vehicle, theft and failing to stop.
They remain in custody for questioning.
