STORIES of women who fought for equal rights in the workplace have been enshrined in a free exhibition.
Female campaigners from London’s east end who battled for women’s working rights or are descended from members of the East London Federation of Suffragettes (ELFS) are being recognised in the Eastside Community Heritage’s “women and protest” display.
Sylvia Pankhurst helmed the ELFS, which campaigned for a variety of women’s rights as well as more general campaigns.
The exhibition takes place at Wanstead Library from Wednesday, March 14 to Saturday, March 31.
