A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found dead at a home in Chingford.

Police were dispatched to Warren Road after at around 6.45am on Thursday (February 15) to deal with reports a man was unresponsive at an address in the street.

Officers and paramedics from London Ambulance Service attended and found a 48-year-old man suffering from multiple injuries. He was later pronounced dead at 7.18am.

The victim's next-of-kin have been informed and a post-mortem examination and formal identification will take place in due course, police said.

A 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder later that afternoon. She was taken to a north London police station where she remains in custody.

A 63-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of murder in the early hours of Friday morning. He is currently in an east London hospital in relation to a medical matter.

Detectives from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating and enquiries continue.
