BIG Brother celebrity Jade Goody has chosen Loughton as the place to launch the next stage of her career, after she took up a partnership in one of its beauty salons.
Miss Goody, 26, who lives in Ongar, has become a co-partner in Femme Fatel in Station Road, and is considering expanding the business with significant investment.
A source close to Miss Goody told the Guardian: "She's been down there in the last two or three weeks and is very enthusiastic about the way it's run. Apparently it's doing very well and possibly she can expand it, open up other branches or even launch a range of branded goods."
The deal has now been formally signed and Miss Goody will be working in partnership with Julie Morris, who started the business six years ago.
She said: "She used to come in here and she was very happy with the business. We're just trying to see how things are at the moment. We've got quite a few ideas."
The deal is due to be officially marked by a special event next month.
Miss Goody was the owner of a previous beauty salon, Uglys, in Hertford, which she bought in 2005 and which closed a year later.
