THE OWNER of a pet goat which has been missing for more than two months is 'very worried' about how he will survive in freezing temperatures.
Karen Pannell discovered Gary the goat’s pen in Epping Green empty but the door locked just after Christmas.
Despite a large search operating and an anonymous tip that had his owner wait on the roadside for hours in the hope the one year-old billy would be dropped off, there is still no sign of Gary.
Mrs Pannell said: "I am still posting the reward posters, but I have heard nothing.
"Someone must have seen him somewhere, in a garden or field."
The former airport security officer did return to the traveller's encampment on Fern Hill Lane near Harlow she believed was the source of the mysterious call, but found no further clues.
Now she is worried about Gary's wellbeing if he is stuck out in the cold and snow.
She added: "He never used to like it when there was a bit of rain. He would always run to shelter.
"I am very worried. He really felt the cold. Goats are hardy, but it was minus eight degrees in Epping the other night.
"He won't be able to get water because all of the troughs are frozen over. At ours they're covered with two inches of ice."
