SPORTS days, play days in the park and forest and creative workshops are on Epping Forest District Council's schedule this Easter.

Five to 14 year-olds can try out a variety of sports for £16.50 from April 9 to 13 at Leverton Junior School in Waltham Abbey from 8.45am to 3.30pm.

A series of opportunities to play with other children equipped with sports equipment and arts and craft resources will take place free of charge across the District and period.

Running for two hours, Roding Valley Recreation Ground, Stonards Hill Recreation Ground, Shelly Park, Town Mead Leisure Centre, Roydon playing fields and Larson Recreation Ground play host.

Young people of all ages are invited to a day of bug hunting, den building and live storytelling session as well as a host of other Easter activities between April 4 and 11 at High Beach, Loughton.

These drop in sessions run from 10am to 12pm and cost £3.

From 10am to 12pm on April 3 a stepping stone workshop will let six to 15 year-olds leave a lasting artistic impression in the Epping Community Garden for £5.50.

This will be followed by a £5.50 wind chimes workshop in the council's communities training room from 10am to 12pm on April 10, when tin cans, bottles and bamboo canes will be used to create a tinkling garden symphony. A t-shirt making workshop will take place at the same time and place, costing £10.
