A charity helping sick and injured pets is appealing to animal-lovers to spring clean their homes and donate unwanted clothes and bric-a-brac.
Staff and volunteers at The People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) at 811-813 Leyton High Road say they urgently need men’s and ladies’ clothes and shoes as well as CDs, DVDs, books, toys and home furnishings.
The charity provides veterinary services at its 48 hospitals around the country.
Shop manager, Susan White, said: “Is your wardrobe bulging with unworn clothes or your shelves full of books you never read? Why not have a clear-out this weekend and donate your unwanted items to PDSA? As well as de-cluttering your home, you’ll be helping raise money for the pets of local people in need.”
Donations can be dropped off at the shop from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm. For more information call Susan White on 0208 539 7564.
