Award-winning choral conductor Hannah Brine is inviting singers to escape to the country and join her at Debden House in Epping Forest for a weekend of singing.

Taking place from June 1 to 3, it promises to immerse participants in harmony singing whilst meeting new friends from across the UK, enjoying the surroundings and eating home-from-home food.

Singers can expect to learn a variety of styles of music in three and four part harmony, from folk and classical to pop and jazz, as well as looking at vocal technique.

Retreat leader Hannah Brine, who currently directs two community choirs in London and most recently lead choirs for the Royal Variety Performance and Olivier Awards, says: ‘I am so looking forward to the retreat this year.

“Epping Forest is a beautiful setting to sing in and I can’t wait to bring together singers from all around the country to make music together.

“This is my seventh retreat but my first in Essex – it would be wonderful if lots of singers from the local community can join us”

All singers are welcome and participants do not need to be able to read music to join in. Singers on the retreat range in age from late 20s to over 80 and there are discounted rates available for day delegates.
