A teenager stabbed in a gang attack at a tube station is fighting for his life in hospital, police have said.
The victim, thought to be 18 years old, was attacked by a group of teenagers outside Woodford station at around 5.30pm on Thursday evening.
Scotland Yard said the victim was asked where he was from by the gang before the stabbing took place.
It is thought the group then ran away in the direction of St Barnabas Road.
The teenager was taken to an east London hospital by paramedics, where he remains in a critical condition.
No arrest have been made. Enquiries continue.
