Looking for ways to keep your children busy over the Easter holidays?

A free holiday club with sports, craft activities and meals will run for two weeks and is open to five to 21-year-olds across Waltham Forest.

Housing association L&Q has teamed up with the Leyton Orient Trust and Kitchen Social, part of the Mayor’s Fund for London, for One Goal.

The club will run from Tuesday, April 3 to Friday, April 13 at the Score Centre in Leyton’s Oliver Road.

Matt Corbett, Director of the L&Q Foundation, said it is a “fantastic opportunity” for youths to keep active during their school holidays and have fun with friends.

“The programme has been attracting record numbers of young people and we expect this spring to be as popular as ever,” he said.

“We are also very proud to be continuing our partnership with Kitchen Social, providing free school meals and tackling food poverty which is a great concern for many families during school holidays.”

One Goal is funded by the L&Q Foundation with a £377,000 grant which ensures all activities are free and that there is no financial barrier to prevent children from low-income families from getting involved.

Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, said: “As Mayor I’m committed to helping young people lead healthier, more active lifestyles, so I am really proud to see this successful partnership between some of the capital’s biggest football clubs and a valued housing partner continue for another year.”
