REDBRIDGE Council continues its war on rubbish by appointing its first neighbourhood manager.
Stephanie Orrell will oversee a team in the north of the borough who will be responsible for keeping roads tidy and working with people and businesses to keep the environment clean.
Her appointment comes as part of the Our Streets campaign, Redbridge Council’s new scheme to keep spaces green by preventing littering and fly-tipping.
The Our Streets campaign sees the trebling of the enforcement team from 10 to 30 members, adding 90 more rounds of street cleaning, new cleansing machines and regular deep cleans.
Ms Orrell has already met community groups to motivate them to keep streets clean.
People living, working and visiting Redbridge will see Our Streets posters and leaflets informing them how to keep streets clean, dispose of waste properly and recycle.
