The new musical stage show, A Spoonful of Sherman, featuring music from multi-award winning Disney songwriters The Sherman brothers, is coming to the Queen’s Theatre April 15 to 17.

This family show features songs from the brothers’ classic Disney films and West End stage shows including: Let’s Go Fly A Kite!, You’re Sixteen, It’s A Small World (After All), I Wanna Be Like You, The Ugly Bug Ball, Feed The Birds, Hushabye Mountain, A Spoonful Of Sugar, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and more.

The production stars Olivier Award-nominated Sophie-Louise Dann whose West End credits include Gary Barlow’s The Girls Musical, Bend It Like Beckham and Made In Dagenham. She is joined by Glen Facey (Hairspray), Jenna Innes (Animus), Mark Read (boyband A1, Guys and Dolls) and Ben Stock (Beauty and the Beast).

The double Oscar-winning Sherman Brothers - Richard M Sherman and Robert B Sherman – have worked from 1964 onwards, producing music, songs and scores for dozens of films, particularly many of Disney’s best loved titles including Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Jungle Book, Bedknobs & Broomsticks, Charlotte’s Web, and The Aristocats.

The highly prolific brothers were the sons of the great Al Sherman (1897-1973) who wrote songs for the likes of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and many singers of the golden American Songbook period of the 1930s-1950s.
