AN EXHIBITION marking the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI takes place on the May bank holiday weekend.

At 10am on May 5 the Nazeing History Workshop will lead a walk from the exhibition site at St Giles Hall around the village, on a tour highlighting how the settlement grew following the Great War's close.

Dogs are welcome and good shoes are recommended.

A two volume, updated version of the Story of Nazeing will also be unveiled.

First published in 2002, the historical record has grown to 400 pages and 180 illustrations describing what was once considered 'a purely agricultural parish' by the council.

Visitors are encouraged to bring along photos of people and places related to Nazeing.

The exhibition at St Giles is open from 2pm to 6pm on Saturday, 12pm to 4pm on Sunday and 10am to 4pm on Monday.
