CARS have been static for around an hour following a multi-car crash on the M25.
Two lanes running clockwise are blocked from the Chalfont Viaduct between junction 16 and 17 all the way back to Heathrow.
Numerous emergency service vehicles were seen racing to the scene of the collision.
It is not yet known how many vehicles were involved in the crash.
At 2.40pm Highways England announced the traffic would be held until the fire service worked to help a casualty from the wreckage of their car.
While thoughts remain with those involved in the crash, attendance at today's 4pm Watford vs Newcastle game will likely be affected by the large tailbacks.
