BUDDING DJs are on their way to fame and fortune with the help of training from Panjab Radio FM.

The Southall station has broadcast during March and April for the past three years and is now hoping to secure one of the 15-year community licences handed out next year.

Youngsters are trained in all aspects of the radio business thanks to the Building Community Capacity project which provides funds for groups which offer valuable training.

Project co-ordinator Aco Divac said: "Over 50 local groups have already benefited. We act as a helping hand, giving people ideas for developing their groups' activities."
