Motorcycle stunt riders, live music and supercar passenger rides are just a few of the activities on offer at Essex & Herts Air Ambulance annual Family Fun Day at North Weald Airfield on Sunday May 20.

The all-day event is the finishing point of this year’s Motorcycle Run, which will see hundreds of motorcyclists undertake a 60-mile ride from Welwyn Garden City to North Weald to raise funds for the charity.

As well as watching the bikes arrives visitors will be able to enjoy live music from Hertfordshire bands The Chevrons, Missing Cat and Radio Video, who will be performing everything from vintage 60s classics and blues to funk and rock.

Fay Boissieux, events manager at Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, said: “Whether you are looking for a great day out or you love classic motorbikes, the Family Fun Day at North Weald is a great event to come and enjoy.

“There’s something for everyone so don’t miss out! You’ll also be supporting our life-saving Charity which couldn’t operate without the support of all those taking part in the Motorcycle Run, visitors to the Fun Day, our volunteers, sponsors, local businesses and staff.

“We look forward to seeing everyone on the day and wish our motorcyclists a safe journey. We’ll be greeting them at the finish line.”

For motorcycle beginners the ART Rider Training School will be on hand to demonstrate how to ride safely.

On the Edge, a team of the world’s best stunt riders, will put on an extreme show late ron.

Thrill seekers can also experience hovercraft and supercar passenger rides at the Car Limits stand.

Younger members of the family can enjoy the inflatable zone, admire a vintage fire engine, or tuck into some of the delicious food on offer. Whether you’re looking for a hog roast, fish and chips or burgers, there is something for every taste.
