A terminally ill woman has 'a new family' after 500 Harley Davidson riders made one of her wishes come true.

On Sunday (May 13) a huge group of bikers parked up outside Vicki Stevens' house in Waltham Abbey.

The 42 year-old hopped on the front bike and was driven at the head of what would turn into a six mile long pillion down the M25, accompanied by a police escort.

By the time she arrived at the Harley Davidson shop in Lakeside, more than 500 bikers were beside her.

The gesture came after Mrs Stevens put a post on Facebook asking if a friend could help her fulfill her riding dreams following a terminal cancer diagnosis in June 2017.

She said: "A friend said my brother rides a Harley and he said 'I am happy to do this'. It was going to be eight to ten drivers.

"They took over the whole thing and put it out to different chapters. Then it went absolutely insane.

"Lake Side Harley Davidson had a band, dancers and a charity head shave. It was the biggest ride out they had ever seen in their eight years as a Harley shop.

"I could not believe the noise.

"Everyone was just amazing. I have got a new family now."

Mrs Stevens was first diagnosed with breast cancer after discovering a lump back in October 2014.

While the mum of two was later given the all clear, her cancer returned two years on, it later spreading to the brain, lung and spine.

She has defied doctors' diagnoses so far, living well past their two month prediction to grab life firmly by the horns.

Mrs Stevens added: "I have swum with sharks, taken the boys to Disney Land, flown an aeroplane and sky dived indoors.

"The bikers clubbed together and got me a hot air balloon ride and a trip to Paris.

" I have never kissed so many men in my life."
