Pupils dressed in princess dresses and two piece suits re-enacted the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at a royal picnic.
More than 200 schoolchildren, parents, grandparents and staff members gathered at Sybourn Primary School in Chingford’s Perth Road to celebrate on Friday (May 18).
Guests were treated to a right royal spread including cucumber sandwiches, jam tarts, iced tea a cake shaped like a castle.
Rhonda Scott, assistant head teacher said: “We had a great day. One of the teachers dressed up as the Queen and posed for photos on the red carpet with the children and there was a pipe band playing.
“It was a beautiful celebration of British values and brought all the community together.”
