Police investigating an unprovoked stabbing attack have released an e-fit of the suspect.

A 28-year-old man was stabbed in the back and neck in Valentines Park, Perth Road, Ilford, at around 4.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday (May 28).

His injuries were not life-threatening and he has since been discharged from hospital.

The suspect is described as an Asian man, aged between 20 and 30 years old.

He was wearing a long green jacket and carried an eight-inch silver bladed knife with a brown handle and is believed to have left in the direction of Perth Road after the attack.

Police also want to speak with a woman who was in the area at the time who they believe could assist with their enquiries.

She is described as white, with red hair, and have been walking two dogs of the same breed (unknown), with one of the dogs lighter and one darker in colour.
