A dad whose twins were separated after being born premature has photographed the touching moment they met for the first time.

Michael Matt, from Seven Kings, Ilford, was heartbroken when his sons, Joshua and Caleb, came at 25 weeks.

They had to be split up for treatment and did not meet for the first time until they were six months old.

Now Michael captured a picture of their first meeting - and has won an award.

He said: “This photo has a special place in our hearts.

“The photo is a treasured memory for us as it is the first time our twins, Joshua and Caleb, were reunited after nearly six months apart in hospital after being born premature at 25 weeks.”

The competition was run by Storychest, the journal meets photo album meets scrapbook for the digital age.

It asked people across the UK to share their favourite pictures and stand the chance of winning £100 Amazon vouchers and free Storychest subscriptions.

As a runner up, Michael won a six month subscription to Storychest, as well as £25 Amazon voucher.
