Are you looking for ways to keep your teenager busy over the summer holidays?

Students aged 13 to 16 are encouraged to sign up for free classes in archaeology, dance, spoken word, fashion, engineering and shoe and print making.

The East Education Summer School will run from July 30 to August 17 at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, and is open to youngsters in Waltham Forest and surrounding boroughs.

Those who sign up for the archaeology classes will have the chance to handle ancient Egyptian objects, learn how to present an informative museum-style talk and set up an exhibition.

The fashion PR and communications classes will take teens through the processes of designing a magazine and conducting a debate while the fashion business workshop will focus on styling, marketing and retail.

The programme is run by London Legacy Development Corporation in partnership with UCL, UAL’s London College of Fashion, Sadler’s Wells and the V&A.

To apply, visit www.queenelizabetholympicpark.co.uk or call 07964108914. The closing date for applications is Friday, July 13.
