FUN FACT: Bizarrely Mikhail Gorbachev is alleged to be a Latics fan. The former president of the USSR was team secretary for Metalist Kharkov, who Wigan played in a friendly in the 1970s. He has reportedly followed the Lancastrians' fortunes ever since.
