Leyton Orient youngster Arthur Janata has linked up with Mark Stimson’s Waltham Abbey having penned a season-long loan deal at the Capershotts Stadium.

The young goalkeeper was offered a new contract with the O’s in the summer, having come through the ranks at the Breyer Group Stadium, and was named on the bench for Orient’s 3-1 win over Guiseley in March.

But the teenage shot-stopper will enjoy his first taste of first-team football having joined Waltham Abbey in the Bostik South Central League for the upcoming season, making his debut for the club against Bracknell Town on Saturday.

It has been a summer of change for the West Essex side off the pitch, with Stimson arriving as the club’s new manager following Paul Joynes’ resignation in May, with a number of new signings also moving to the Capershotts Stadium.

Stimson, who spent a brief stint with the O’s as a player, was out of work after his previous club Thurrock folded at the end of last season, despite the 50-year-old guiding them to a 15th place finish in the Bostik Premier League.

His first match in charge of Abbey ended in defeat on Saturday, as Liam Ferdinand struck late on to secure Bracknell a 1-0 win over the West Essex side.
