A 16-year-old boy is among two people to have been arrested after a man was stabbed to death in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called to an address in Flaxen Road, Chingford at 4.40am today (Friday August 17) to a report of a stabbing.

Officers attended and found a 42-year-old man suffering from stab injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene at around 5.20am.

His next of kin have been informed.

A 35-year-old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed.

A spokesman for the Met said enquiries are ongoing and at this stage, police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.
