A high school is celebrating its best ever A-level results.

Trinity Catholic High School in Mornington Road, Woodford Green saw 30 students attain grades AAB or higher, 15 of whom received an impressive three or four A* or A grades.

They included John Hughes who attained three A* grades, securing his pace at Oxford to study chemistry.

And joining him at Oxford will be Madeline Oshodi who also got three A* grades and will now study biology at third-level.

Top student Connor Holloway received four A* grades while Daniel Brown and Kornelious O’Sullivan both attained three A* grades.

Margaret Keegan, director of the school’s sixth form, said: “These exam results rank with the best ever for the school.

“Our students have worked extremely hard and we are extremely proud of them. They deserve their success.”

Trinity’s pass rate for A* - B grades came out at 47 per cent while 99.7 per cent of students got grades from A* to E.

There were a total of 29 A* grades and 87 As at the school this year.
