A site manager has been recognised for his leadership, organisational skills and consistency.
Tom O’Rourke, who works for McCarthy and Stone’s Poets Place in Loughton, won the Pride in the Job Quality Award from the National House Builders’ Council (NHBC).
Now in its 38th year, the awards recognise site managers across the country who are at the top of their game and are creating homes of a high standard.
Mr O'Rourke said: “At McCarthy and Stone, quality and attention to detail are embedded in the company culture; and, as such, everyone works together to deliver a completed development that we can all be incredibly proud of.
"It is a privilege to be at the helm of the construction team during the build programme, and I’m honoured to have now received this award from the NHBC.”
