Here are youngsters at Acacia Children's Centre celebrating the Sikh and Hindu festival yesterday.
The centre in Cathall Road, Leytonstone, held a number of activities to celebrate.
Children made diva lamps, created Rangoli patterns (patterns out of lentils and other items) and sang songs.
They were also taught bollywood dancing techniques by Amit Verma-Quamr from Honeys Dance Academy.
A teacher,Dipeeka Bashin said: "The children absolutely loved it and they want Amit to come back for Christmas."
