Rotarians in Chingford will be continuing to support charities thanks to the generosity of shoppers and the help of Santa.
The club was pleased to be able to help Father Christmas again last year when he visited the Love South Chingford Group to turn on the Christmas Tree lights.
In return, Santa took time out from his busy schedule to help the Rotary Club with their annual charity collection at Tesco, Highams Park, on the weekend before Christmas.

The members of the Rotary Club have thanked everyone who gave so generously to their collection which will allow them to continue to help local charities including the Joseph Clarke School for the Visually Impaired and the club for visually impaired adults. They will also be making a donation to the Mercy Ships charity which provides medical care in developing countries.

The club is also investigating whether to provide a defibrillator for use in the community.
The Rotary Club of Chingford is now meeting weekly (Covid conditions allowing) and details can be found on their website.
