THE father of Stuart Lubbock is planning some "fist waving" when he takes his seat in the front row of the Theatre Royal Windsor on Tuesday for the first night of entertainer Michael Barrymore's comeback show.
Barrymore is starring in the comedy Surviving Spike which tells the story of comic Spike Milligan.
But Mr Lubbock - who is still seeking answers to questions over how his son died after returning to Barrymore's Roydon home almost seven years ago - is preparing to make something of a show of his own.
Mr Lubbock, 63, of Great Brays, Harlow, says he does not expect to stay for the whole performance, but said: "He will know I'm there. I'm absolutely sure the man is not deaf and not blind. We'll be right in his face, maybe with a little bit of tongue-in-cheek fist waving when I'm in the theatre. I'm quite looking forward to it.
"The object of me going is to stir up as much publicity as I can and the questions that I'm now aiming at Michael Barrymore are why did he run away on the morning my son was in his pool dying.
"The other thing I would like to know is how the hell did my son suffer those injuries and who was responsible."
He added: "The man has made my name and my son's name more popular than himself. If he wishes to get back in the public domain with his public entertaining he has to come clean. He has to clear himself from this doubt."
Barrymore and two other men were released without charge having been arrested on suspicion of murder. He was cautioned over the use of drugs at the address.
Stuart Lubbock suffered severe internal injuries and an inquest recorded an open verdict.
Mr Lubbock is calling for a second inquest and is awaiting the outcome of an investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission into the way Essex Police handled the initial case.
Police say, but Barrymore denies, that Stuart's injuries were inflicted at Barrymore's then home in Beaumont Park Drive, Roydon, after Stuart, 31, returned with others following a night at the Millennium nightclub in Harlow.
