WALTHAMSTOW: Arrests over early-morning attack

Police investigating an early-morning attack on a man in Walthamstow are questioning three people.

A woman and two men in their early 20s have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and are in custody.

A 42-year-old man suffered cuts to his hands and head during the attack outside St James's Street station at around 4.20am on Tuesday (March 18).

No weapons were used in the assault.

The man was treated in hospital but has now been released.

Roads in the area were closed while officers established a crime scene, causing widespread disruption during rush hour.
