TOTTENHAM chairman Daniel Levy is understood to be confirming plans sanctioning the construction of a new 50,000-capacity stadium next to White Hart Lane.

According to the Daily Mail, the stadium will take up to three years to build and will cost £300million, as Levy attempts to take Spurs to the top of the European game.

The new ground is thought to bear a close resemblance to Arsenal's Emirates stadium, which has upset a number of Spurs fans. However Levy seems intent to proceed with the plans, with an announcement expected within the next month.
