BACARY SAGNA looks set to be rewarded for his fine form this season with the offer of a two-year extension to his current deal.
With most of the talk at Arsenal surrounding the possible departures of a number of stars, Wenger has moved to tie one of his prize assets to the club in a long-term deal.
Sagna is one of a string of players at the club that have been linked with moves away from the Emirates, with Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid understood to be tracking the Frenchman.
But Wenger has been impressed by the right-back since his arrival from Auxerre last summer, and the 25-year-old was even included in the PFA Team of the Year after just one season in English football. As a result, details of a two-year extension is set to be thrashed out, according to France Football.
