THEO WALCOTT believes Arsenal's youngsters will improve and guide the side to their first trophy in four years next season.

The 19-year-old has worked his way into Arsene Wenger's first-team players in the second half of this campaign, and with the likes of Nicklas Bendtner, Alexander Song and Denilson getting another year's experience under their belt, Walcott believes next term will prove more fruitful.

"Hopefully the young players will take this experience into next year. We will know how to cope with things if they happen again," insisted the young forward.

"Our main ambition is to win a trophy next year. We have been playing brilliant football but not winning things. Hopefully next season we can go one stage further and get a trophy."

Arsenal will welcome back Fran Merida and Carlos Vela from their loan spells in Spain and it is thought that Wenger will be keen to incorporate them into his first-team squad.
