COMMUNITIES in Epping Forest, Harlow and East Hertfordshire are digesting new Government plans to build around 15,000 new homes in their districts by 2021.
Proposals for the ambitious regeneration scheme of the M11 Corridor were part of the revised East of England Plan published today (May 12).
Bosses at the three councils in the districts are picking through the 120-page report prior to releasing statements tomorrow morning.
But a spokesman for the Stop Harlow North campaign group wasted no time in condemning the plans as "fundamentally flawed, unnecessary, unsustainable and undemocratic."
Communities Minister Parmjit Dhanda says the scheme will "deliver affordable housing, better transport networks, infrastructure and jobs growth."
