PREMIER League newcomers West Brom could bolster their chances of survival by taking two players on loan from Arsenal, according to media reports, writes Iain Liddle.

The Baggies have targeted Gunners duo Alexandre Song and Armand Traore as they seek to improve their squad ahead of next season's campaign.

Cameroon international Song has previously spent time on loan at Charlton in 2007 where he endured himself to Addicks fans despite being unable to prevent their relegation to the Championship.

Capable of playing in defence or midfielder, the former Bastia player has found it tough to break into the Gunners' first team and could welcome the opportunity to play regular top-flight football.

Song recently signed a long-term contract extension that ties him to the club until at least 2012.

Full-back Traore is a regular in Arsenal's reserves and has impressed on his few appearances for the first team. His progress has been halted by the presence of another young Frenchman in Gael Clichy and Wenger may welcome the chance to give the player experience of Premiership football.
