THE agent of former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse has issued a plea to Tottenham and Portsmouth to take the player back to the Premier League.
The powerful striker has scored 37 goals in only 75 games at his current club Marsielle but was overlooked by Raymond Domenech for France's Euro 2008 squad.
Cisse - who scored 19 goals for the Merseysiders despite often being played out of position and suffering a horrific double leg break - is keen to quit the Ligue 1 outfit in order to rebuild his career, with England a preferred destination.
"Djibril's main priority is to come back to England," the 26-year-old's agent Ranko Stojic told the Portsmouth News.
"We've had some very interesting offers from Spain but he is very motivated to play in the Premier League again.
"Portsmouth were interested in Djibril last season and so were Manchester City and West Ham - that was then, though, and this is now."
However, Cisse is keen to show his skills on the big stage and would consider joining an ambitious team that is regularly playing in Europe.
"There are maybe three or four teams like Portsmouth and Tottenham who he would play for," added Stojic.
"He wants to play at the highest level and have European football.
"The Champions League would be good, but so would a team in the UEFA Cup now with ambitions of playing in the Champions League."
Spurs arer in the market for a proven striker as they seek a replacement for Dimitar Berbatov, who looks set to leave the club this summer.
