Nearly 70 years separate these pictures of Chingford Mount Road looking towards Albert Crescent.
Taken around 1955, overhead power cables can be seen for the electric trolleybuses which were still operating from Chingford Mount to Walthamstow and beyond until at least 1960.
Today electric transport is returning with all new double-deck buses powered by hybrid, electric and hydrogen according to the GLA.
