This picture of Epping High street was taken around 1924 with a view of the old Duke of York public house flanked by two butcher’s shops.
The public house building was demolished in 1931 to make way for the new Barclays Bank building.
Sadly Barclays closed in June 2022 after serving the town for over 90 years.
