A LEADING business which prides itself on helping young people “unlock their potential” is one of three in south Essex to be honoured by the King.
Basildon logistics company Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics received the King’s Award For Enterprise in the International Trade category this week.
The firm, based in Southfields Business Park, helps deliver products around the world via air, land and sea.
Rochford-based Ipeco - the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial pilot seating - was also recognised with an award in the promoting opportunity category.
Rounding off a hat-trick of south Essex businesses named among the best in Britain, Southend-based Climbing Tress - an advertising and SEO agency - was recognised for sustainable development.
The awards were confirmed by the Government after the firms demonstrated an exceptional compliance record with HMRC during a stringent auditing process.
Atlantic Pacific, which is one of the fastest growing firms in the UK, was praised for its robust environmental and governance practices, an impressive increase in overseas revenue, and significant year-on-year growth.

The King’s Awards For Enterprise, which began last year, occur on the anniversary of His Majesty The King’s coronation.
The prestigious series of awards dates back to 1965 under its previous name, the Queen’s Awards.
This year, the second King’s Awards took place on Monday, May 6.
The winners are set to be celebrated at a reception at Windsor Castle hosted by His Majesty The King, with Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics among the selected invitees.
