TALENTED young performers took to the stage of a professional theatre for "speculator" show in celebration of song and dance.

Students from Colchester's Stagecoach Performing Arts School recently performed at the Cresset theatre in Peterborough.

The performance was led by Caroline Maxwell, principal of Stagecoach Colchester.

It highlighted the students' versatility and incorporated classics like Pure Imagination from Wonka, In A World of My Own from Alice in Wonderland, and Do Your Thing from Basement Jaxx where they showcased their lively choreography and stage presence.

The event celebrated students from Stagecoach across the region, including from Newmarket, Norwich, Huntingdon, and Rugby.

It highlighted their creativity, courage, and skill development, promoting an environment of artistic growth.

Ms Maxwell said: "It was spectacular to see the students perform a classical show with a twist.

"Finally we could show the audience our performance that we have been working hard on for the past few weeks.

"These performance opportunities are just one element of what makes Stagecoach so great."

Since its establishment 36 years ago, Stagecoach Performing Arts has helped more than one million students unlock creative potential.
