INFORMATION about sheltered housing and other services for older people will be available at various open days between 10am and 4pm on Friday, September 12.

Visitors to eight schemes across the district can meet the scheme managers, find out about day clubs for the elderly and the Epping Forest Careline scheme, and find out how to apply for sheltered housing.

The open day is being held at Buckhurst Court, Albert Road, Buckhurst Hill; Frank Bretton House, Bansons Way, Ongar; Hyde Mead House, Hyde Mead, Nazeing; Jubilee Lodge, Ninefields, Waltham Abbey; Leonard Davis House, Kiln Road, North Weald; Chapel Road, Epping; and Parsonage Court, Rectory Lane, Loughton.

Visitors are also welcome at Jessop Court, in Waltham Abbey, which is managed in partnership with Essex County Council social care. Visits are by appointment only. Ring Denise Gurling on 01992 700827.
