WOODFORD Green crashed to yet another heavy defeat after going down by seven-wickets at Stanford-le-Hope.
The visitors’ resistance was destroyed by Stanford’s opening bowlers Daryl Woodford (5-34) and Kevin Smith (2-36), which ultimately saw them slump all out for just 78.
Stanford’s reply was cautious to begin with as Lee Knight (17) and Duncan Page (12) progressed the score slowly.
However, Nathan Shearer (45*) took charge as soon as he came to the crease and despite Iqbal’s three wickets, saw his side to a comfortable victory.
