Woodford Green 210-a/o
Old Brentwoods 157-a/o
(Division Three)
WOODFORD Green secured only their second league win of the season following this excellent 53-run victory over Old Brentwoods.
The hosts opened the batting and made a solid start taking the score to 85 for one.
From this point Green suffered a real wobble and slumped to 95-5.
But some solid resistance from Andrew Naipaul (76) and Joe Hawkes (46) took them to a useful total of 210.
Arshad Mughal (3-41) and Ihsaq Khan (3-41) led the Old boys attack.
Despite some useful contributions from Khalid Sarwar (43) and Imran Hussain (27), the visitors struggled against the attack of Naipaul (3-21) and Sam Davies, who also picked up three wickets, and were all-out for just 157.
