A MOTOCROSS event will be held in Thornwood on Friday (September 19) to raise money for a man who was paralysed in a race accident.
Chartered accountant Michael Hubbard, 31, an experienced motocross rider, was paralysed from the waist down during a race meeting in September last year.
His friend, Robert Embery, has organised the Michael Hubbard Ride Day, which will be held between 10am and 4pm at Weald Hall Farm, in Weald Hall Lane.
Local businesses including the Theydon Oak pub, and Tas Restaurant Bar, in Thornwood, have given raffle prizes, and there will also be an auction of items including a diamond and platinum hand-crafted ring.
To sponsor the event, donate to the raffle, or for more information, ring Robert Embery on 0207 5154425, or visit www.mxtrax.co.uk.
