A PLASTERER has scooped a £62,000 lottery win.
Rene Darroux, 52, from Leyton, plans to spend some of his winnings from the Euromillions draw on a trip to Las Vegas.
He said: "Winning this money is such a relief. I have a mortgage and being self-employed, especially at the moment, it is difficult.
"But this win has given me a financial safety net which is brilliant.
"I am now able to go to Las Vegas next year, which I couldn’t even think of doing before.”
Mr Darroux added: "I was at the bus stop on my way to work when I checked my ticket.
"I couldn’t believe it when I realised I had matched five numbers, I looked up at the sky and then checked the numbers again.
"I still didn’t believe I had won so I called my son and he checked the numbers on the Internet.
"He called back to say I had won £62,713 I was in shock, but very happy."
The father of three bought his lucky ticket from a newsagents in Lea Bridge Road on Friday, September 26.
