Fast food school ban?

Fast food outlets could be prevented from opening near schools and parks under new planning guidelines put forward by Waltham Forest Council.

The proposals, which could see take-aways and chip shops banned from within 400 metres of areas frequented by children, also aim to limit the number of fast food outlets that can be opened in town centres and shopping parades in a bid to conbat obesity.
