FRIENDS and wellwishers of Jade Goody have organised a charity walk to raise money for her two children.

The troubled reality TV star, who lives in Waltham Abbey, has been told by doctors she could have only weeks to live after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Now hundreds of her supporters have signed up to for a walk starting from Femme Fatale, the Loughton beauty salon she co-owns, and ending in High Beach where they plan to release balloons which will be sold for £5 each.

Joint-organiser Jane Collins said: “It’s just to support her really. We all think about her and her boys. It’s such a sad time and everyone has been so touched by her journey and how painful her life has been for it to end the way it has. She’s been very brave and she’s made women more aware of how important it is to get screened for cervical cancer.”

The charity walk is due to take place this Saturday at 12pm, from Femme Fatale, in Station Road, Loughton. For more information search for A Walk for Jade at facebook.com or email jleeltd@live.co.uk.
