REALITY-TV star Jade Goody has died in her sleep following her public battle with cervical cancer.

Her agent Max Clifford confirmed the 27-year-old died at her home in Upshire in the early hours of this morning (March 22).

Husband Jack Tweed, 21, and her mum Jackiey Budden, 50, remained at her bedside as she slipped into a coma on Mother’s Day when she had hoped to see her sons Bobby, five, and Freddie, four, for the last time.

Her sons had been staying with their father, Jeff Brazier.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is among the many who have paid tribute to the former Big Brother star, stating he was "deeply saddened" by her death.

He said: "She was a courageous woman both in life and death and the whole country has admired her determination to provide a bright future for her children.”

A funeral service will be held at St John the Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill, before she is laid to rest at nearby Epping Forest Burial Park.
